BART D. WITTENBERG RELIGIOUS SCHOOL

Congregation Children of Israel (CCI) has joined with Adas Yehurun Synagogue (AYS) to form the Augusta Jewish Community Sunday School (AJCSS). The AJCSS meets for half the school at CCI and half the school year at AYS. The school offers quality Jewish education for students ages four to twelve years of age. There is also a monthly class for students two and three years of age. Congregation Children of Israel also offers mid-week Hebrew school for pre-Bar/Bat Mitzvah Hebrew instruction.

Rabbi Klensin from CCI and Rabbi Sirull from AYS assist in the religious education of our students. The school is administered by the AJCSS Oversight Committee, comprised of members from both CCI and AYS. The principal of AJCSS is Michael Scharff (cell: 706-829-3345; home: 706-863-2898).
